Description

7.SS Foreign Volunteer division "Prinz Eugen" Gebirgsjager Lieutenant.

Gebirgsjager were German soldiers given special training for survival, defense, and combat in mountainous areas.

"Rip van Winkle cosplay," for those who can't tell the difference between cosplay and living history. This was inspired by the character, and most of the data collected on her backstory and service in WWII. Probably could also be used for such, if I can find a pretty gal to fill it. :meow: The only other person I'm aware of that has a uniform for this character that is accurate is ~Frau-Riefenstahl, and I suggest you check hers out. It's got some differences from mine, but both are historically accurate. There were many variations in the jackets used by German soldiers in WWII. You can see the M40 cap is the same one as in her photos as well but with a different pattern Edelweiss badge, that's because I traded her the cap for a complete SS Pattern Panzer uniform that I couldn't wear because it was not my size.

This photo may be used as a reference for others who have an interest in putting their own together. It's extremely historically accurate, and I used photos from the time period as well to make sure. The spectacles are original antiques from my collection.
Here is one of them: scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hp… Note the skinny Leutnant and the fat grinning Major. :XD:

Also usable for Ludwig from APH, although the fandom's too crazy for it.

The Regular German Army (Heer, which is signified by the type of insignia sewn to the jacket) as well as the Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine, was forbidden by Hitler to be members of the NSDAP (Nazi Party, which was the organization affiliated with the conduction of war-crimes.) Rest easy, Hetalians and other cosplayers. A swastika does not a Nazi uniform make.
